Cantina Valpantena lies in the heart of Valpantena, halfway between the city of Verona and the Lessini Mountains, where vineyards form an integral part of the landscape.
The production area features unique geological and environmental characteristics which infuse the quality of the wine and oil produced there.
The valley, whose name derives from the Greek pan-theos, ‘valley of all the gods’, holds an ancient winemaking tradition that dates back to the end of the first century BC.
The wines were much appreciated by the Emperor Augustus, and even Virgil cites them in his work as ‘virtuous in goodness’.
In the 1500s, the valley was described as golden ‘for its copious and excellent wine’, and it has always been a place focused on the modernization of vine cultivation and winemaking techniques, of which Cantina Valpantena Verona is the full expression.
